MARIELE IVY

 As the daughter of a wooden boat builder & an avid gardener, my art has always been inspired by the symbiosis of humans & their environment. I was born and raised in Western Montana, I spent my early life in the rivers and woods exploring and creating art inspired by my beautiful surroundings. It was in a 1920s barn-turned wooden-boat studio that I created my first jewelry piece at the age of 5. A thin blue ribbon strung through an oyster shell, simple and natural, a harbinger of what was to come. 

Championing found materials, and valuing a light footprint in regards to sourcing has been a lifelong aspect of my creativity. As a true multidisciplinary artist, I am always exploring mediums like textiles, clay and illustration. These other experiments in craft, hone my artistic eye and steady hand in the jewelry studio. 

I have built a reputation for creating unique jewelry with an eye for the unexpected details that inspires collectors across the globe.
