How Technology is Revolutionizing the World of Jewelry Design and Manufacturing

We pride ourselves on using new technologies and traditional craftsmanship methods simultaneously!

How Technology is Revolutionizing the World of Jewelry Design and Manufacturing

We've come a long way from the traditional jewelry designs of the past.

Technology has revolutionized how we adorn ourselves. It allows us to customize our jewelry in ways never imagined.

Let's find out how technology is changing the future of the jewelry industry!

The Role of CAD Software in Modern Jewelry Design

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is becoming increasingly important in jewelry design.

Creating a piece of jewelry traditionally is a labor-intensive process that involved sculpting wax models by hand, soldering metals, and many other time-intensive steps.

Innovative CAD software for jewelry design has changed the way jewelers around the world fabricate.

CAD is helping designers to push the boundaries of what is possible with jewelry design. It allows designers to quickly and easily create complex 3D models of their designs.

Designers can now create unique pieces tailored specifically to their customers' specifications. This level of customization is proving popular with customers who want something unique and more complicated than can be made using traditional methods.

3D Printing: A Game-Changer in Jewelry Production

With 3D printing in jewelry design and manufacturing, jewelry designers can create complex pieces quickly. This technology has also made it possible to produce custom-designed jewelry on demand.

With 3D printing, the sky's the limit for design possibilities, and this is just the beginning. We can only imagine what future innovations will bring to the jewelry-design industry.

Laser Cutting Technology: Precision in Jewelry Manufacturing

Laser-cutting technology in jewelry production opens up new possibilities. It gives manufacturers the ability to create precise cuts and intricate designs in materials that a traditional jeweler's saw would break on.

Laser-cutting technology offers many advantages over traditional methods of jewelry manufacturing.

  • It is precise, allowing for detailed and complex designs.
  • Laser cutting is fast and efficient, meaning manufacturers can make more pieces in a shorter time.

We expect to see more stunning and innovative jewelry designs as technology evolves.

Crafting Beauty with Ethics and Innovation

Jewelry is no longer just an accessory to be worn and admired. It can now track our health, provide security, and entertain us with interactive features.

Young in the Mountains beautifully merges traditional techniques with modern technology.

We use recycled metals and responsibly sourced diamonds to craft our stunning jewelry.

This marriage of old and new techniques allows Young in the Mountains to create stunning jewelry. Our use of CAD combined with our innate abilities at goldsmiths results in truly beautiful jewelry.

    Cleaning Your YITM Jewelry

    Gold, Diamonds & Sapphires
These materials are the most durable and easiest to clean. Use warm water, a small amount of mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush to gently remove buildup. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, and abrasive materials. Jewelry with exclusively gold and diamonds or sapphires can go in ultrasonic cleaners. The gold parts of the jewelry can be shined with the polishing cloth included in all YITM orders.

    Inlay Jewelry
Inlay pieces require special care. Do not soak or submerge in water. Do not put in an ultrasonic machine. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth only. Moisture and chemicals can occasionally change the color composition of soft turquoise and variscite stones. Remove when applying lotion, oil, cleaning or swimming. The gold parts of the jewelry can be cleaned with the polishing cloth included in all YITM orders.

Sunstones, Tourmaline, Topaz, Garnet, Amethyst or Peridot
These stones are more delicate. We do not use them in rings for this reason. If these stones are in your other YITM styles, do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, or harsh cleaners. Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth if needed, then dry immediately. The gold parts of the jewelry can be cleaned with the polishing cloth included in all YITM orders.

    Storage & Long-Term Care

Store each piece separately to prevent scratching, ideally in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box. Keep jewelry away from humidity, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight. Periodic professional inspections are recommended for rings worn regularly.

For everyday, forever wear, we recommend a simple pure gold band. Our inlay and accent jewelry is best worn as the occasion permits. Please visit our FAQ page for more detailed care guidance.
