It felt so recombinant and awe-inspiring to see the same things in stone, blossoms and branches in agates that could be Japanese silk paintings. I find human patterns searching for control, while nature celebrates the chaos, even if there is a grand pattern at play. This ring is a study in the pattern of natural Colina Verde Variscite compared with the human pattern of checkerboard that I created in my studio from Lucin Variscite and Black Jade."
